Funeral service for 66 year old Mr. Samuel Jerome Williams Sr. of Clarksville, TX who went to be with his Lord Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Paris Regional Medical Center will be Friday, June 16. 2023 at 2:30 pm in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church St., Clarksville, TX with Pastor Emmitt Taylor, eulogist and Rev. Darel Ricks, officiating. Interment will be in William Cemetery, Clarksville, TX. 
Viewing will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm.

Mr. Samuel Jerome Williams was born September 6, 1956 to the parentage of Eugene Williams and Ella Mae Green Williams in Birmingham AL.

Samuel accepted Christ at an early age. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He later united with the Christ Community Church of Clarksville.   He married Gayle Ricks and they enjoyed 43 years of marital bliss.  To this union three boys were born: Samuel Jerome Jr., Brandon Dewayne, and Christopher Eugene.

Samuel worked at Red River Army Depot, Scotchcraft,

St. Joseph Hospital, and McCuistion Hospital of Paris, TX.  He was a very loving person that never met a stranger.  He loved spending time with family and friends.

     She was preceded in death by his mother, father, two sisters and three brothers.

Lillie Jones of Birmingham, AL.

Brother:  James E. (Deborah) Williams of Detroit, MI

14 grandchildren, 24 nieces, 12 great nieces, 10 nephews, other relatives and friends.
