Memorial services for Mr. Roosevelt Garnes Jr., age 62, of Clarksville, who transitioned to be with the Lord on March 31, 2026 at Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, Texas
The service is scheduled for April 18, 2026 at Citizens Funeral Home. located at 500. E. Church Street in Clarksville, Texas.
At the blessed and highly favored age of 62, on Tuesday March 31, 2026, Roosevelt Garnes, Jr. boarded a first-class flight and took his seat on a one-way ticket to his heavenly home.
Roosevelt Garnes, Jr. was born August 24, 1963, in Annona, Texas to Roosevelt Sr. and Willie Lee Garnes. Roosevelt Jr. accepted the Lord as his Savior at an early age. He was a member of Slate Rock Baptist Church in Clarksville, Texas.
Roosevelt Jr. enjoyed spending time with his fam-ily and friends. He had a close relationship with his brothers and sisters and enjoyed attending family outings. He will be greatly missed.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Roosevelt Sr. and Willie Lee Garnes and his siblings Steven Garnes, Rena Garnes Patt, Patricia Garnes, Terry Joe Garnes, and Michael Ray Garnes.
He is survived by his daughter, Porsha Garnes (Dyman) and granddaughter,K’Lee Brown, of Clarksville, Texas; five siblings, Linda Dorsey, Diane Fulbright, of Clarksville, Texas, Rosie Brooks, Cynthia (John) Simmons of Paris, TX, and Bobby (Robin) Garnes of Virginia Beach, VA. Roosevelt Jr. is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
