Funeral service for 99 year old Ms. Ora Lee Ricks of Clarksville, Texas who went to be with her Lord Monday, May 6, 2024 at Focus Care of Clarksville, will be Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Massey eulogist Interment will be in Fairground Cemetery, Clarksville, Texas under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home.
Viewing will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, Texas.
Ora Lee Ricks, affectionately known as Mother, Dama, Grandmother, and Aunt Tom, was bom November 15, 1924, to John and Virginia Ricks in Clarksville, Texas.
She joined church at an early age and united with the Macedonia Syloam Baptist Church. She later united with the St. James Baptist Church where she later was proud to be named "Mother of the Church".
She has served as a member of the usher board, Union of ushers, and also served in other capacities of the church. She was a faithful member until her health failed, willing to always offer words of wisdom and gratitude.
Ora Lee met and married the love of her life, Odell Ricks who preceded her in death February 14, 2007. She loved her family and always provided love and kindness to everyone.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, two grandchildren, Kevin Labrock and James Andrew Burks and brother, Sylvester Woodson.
