Mary Ann Owens

Funeral service for 58 year old Ms. Mary Ann Owens who went to be with  her Lord, June 29, 2023 in Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, TX will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX with Rev. Charles Dickson, eulogist. 

Viewing will be Friday, July 7, 2023 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Citizens Fineral Home Chapel. 
 

Mary Ann Owens was born to the parentage of Mr. Johnnie and Mrs. Ada Owens, July 22, 1964 in Clarksville, Texas. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Slate Rock Baptist Church.

            Mary attended school and was a graduate of the Clarksville High School Class of 1982 and then attended Paris Junior College. She enjoyed life and was employed by Phillips Industries for 20+ years, and retired from Cooper Tires this past spring after 11 years of service. Mary was blessed with one son, Johnathan Owens and she loved him dearly. 

            Mary enjoyed working around her home with her plants and collecting wind chimes. She loved spending time with family and friends, where she could be found playing spades. She had a  newfound hobby of watching TikTok’s and sending them to her family and friends. 

            Mary lived a happy life and leaves many memories to be cherished by her son, Johnathan Owens of Clarksville, Texas; parents, Johnnie and Ada Owens of Clarksville, Texas; siblings, Vernesis Owens and Valerie (Tim) Garnes of Clarksville, Texas; aunt, Susie Edwards of Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Edwards, Christopher Mitchell, Alexandria Garnes, and David Owens; cousins, Steven Edwards, Toni Horton, and Crystal Scott; and a special friend, Marcia James.  Aunts:  Rosie Wright (Wichita Falls, TX), and Ruby Tolliver (Dallas, TX)  Along with a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
