A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am. at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Annona, TX with Pastor T.L. Blevins, eulogist, under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church St, Clarksville, TX

Linda Nell Johnson was born on August 11, 1946, in Annona Texas, Linda was the daughter of the late Addis and Cleo Scales. She graduated from Cheatham High School and moved to Oakland California where she met and married her husband Ernest Johnson.  To this union two children were born: Dwane and Andrea. 

Linda was a member and served as an usher at Rock Of Ages Baptist Church. Linda was employed for several years at General Motors in California. Then relocated to Texas where she was employed and retired from Kimberly Clark.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Ernest Johnson and her son Dwayne Johnson. Four Brothers: Larry Scales, Lewis Scales, Lavert Scales, Lafayette Scales and a set of twin’s siblings Lawrence and Lance. One Sister Lorice Berry and two brothers in-law; Arthur and Anthony  

She is survived by her daughter. Andrea Johnson of Arizona ,her siblings Loice (Ernie) Hayes, Lawanda Davis, Leler Sanders, Loretta Shavers, and Lynell Scales. One brother Leslie Scales. and her 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Sisters in-law: Shirley, Ruby, Mae and many nieces ,nephews cousins and friends  

Linda will be missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
