Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Lawrence Shelton who went to be with his Lord  April 11, 2023 in Choctaw Memorial Hospital, Hugo, OK will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Hugo Middle School, 300 N.E. Street, Hugo, OK with Pastor George Fisher, eulogist - pastor of New Olive Baptist Church, Hugo, OK

Viewing will be Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church, 202 E, Hickory, St.,  Paris, TX - Rev. C. Mayes, pastor


Mr. Kenneth Lawrence Shelton was born February 22, 1965 to Lawrence Dangerfield Sr. and Levern Shelton Gardner in Hugo, OK.

    Kenneth graduated from Grant High School in 1983.  He united with the New Olive Baptist Church.   

    Kenneth worked at Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, working in the country, cutting wood, cleaning cars, hanging with his buddies and barbequing.  He loved spending time with the kids.

     He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Woods.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories:

Children:  Kashara Stewart, Oklahoma City, OK; Keombree Shelton, Longview, TX; Caden Britt, Soper, OK; Kamarien Pugh, Hugo, OK; Jayden Shelton, Sherman, TX.

Siblings: Valerie Shelton, Grant, OK; Lawrence (Jackie) Dangerfield Jr, Clarksville, TX; and Debra Dangerfield, Dallas, TX

Mate:  Donna Shelton, Sherman, TX

Grandchildren:  Kadius, Kayden, Jerrion, and Amir Ozell Shelton.

Special Brother:  Kenneth (Diane) Simpson, Midlothian, TX.

A host of nieces, nephews, many cousins, special friends, other relatives and friends.
