Janice Darlene (Childress) Williams was born on August 2, 1959, in Clarksville, Texas, to the late L.C. Office and Nancy Childress. From her earliest years, Janice embodied the true meaning of love "for love is of God" (1 John 4:7). Her gentle heart, caring spirit, and willingness to place others before herself touched the lives of all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Clarksville High School, Janice carried her strength and grace into adulthood, living as a woman who reflected the scripture, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies" (Proverbs 31:10). She was a faithful member of Zion Traveler Baptist Church, where she served and worshiped with humility, devotion, and unwavering trust in the Lord.
Janice's greatest joy was being a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished sister. Her life was a living example of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7—"Love is patient , love is kind..."—and she gave that love freely every day. She nurtured her family with compassion, supported them with quiet strength, and encouraged them with her enduring faith.
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Janice peacefully answered the Lord's call and entered into eternal rest. Though she has departed from this earthly home, her virtuous character, her loving heart, and her steadfast spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memory: her devoted husband, Ronald Williams of Clarksville, Texas; her beloved son, Geremy Williams of Houston, Texas; and two loving sisters, Carolyn Rhone of Paris, Texas, and Zella Coye of Killeen, Texas. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed by her presence, her laughter, and her love.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Childress, father L.C. Office; brothers Nathaniel Childress, Dale Childress, and Mickey Childress; and sisters LaShonda Richardson and Mary Office.
Janice lived a life anchored in love, strengthened by faith, and defined by the virtues of a godly woman. Her legacy will continue in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the memories she leaves behind.
