Funeral service for 80 year old Mr. James “Sonny” Robinson of Clarksville, TX who went be with his Lord July 13, 2023  in Baylor University Medical Center-Gaston, Dallas, TX will be Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Valley Baptist Church, Clarksville, Texas with Pastor James Johnson, eulogist     Under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX.

Viewing will be Monday, July 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX.

James Henry “Sonny” “Rob” Robinson was born to Ada Butler & James Delbert Robinson on November 13, 1942 in Red River County, Texas. He was their only child. His education included several small community elementary schools. He was a 1961 graduate of Cheatham High School and a 1968 graduate of Bishop College, Dallas, Texas.

During his early years, he became a member of Lily of the Valley, later named Hope Valley Baptist Church where he became a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday School superintendent. He also served on the zoning and planning commission and the Red River County Brotherhood.

James is survived by his wife Jacqueline of fifty-four years, daughter, Celia (Ronald) Garrido of Irving, TX, 

great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Genesis, & Melia of Irving, TX and a host of cousins and friends.
