Funeral service for 88 year old Ms. Earline Murphy of Clarksville, TX who went to be with her Lord November 26, 2024 in Medical City Plano, Plano, TX will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church St., Clarksville, TX  Rev. Donald Rosser, eulogist.

VIEWING will be Friday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church St., Clarksville, TX. 
 

Mrs. Earline Thomas Murphy is a native of Fulbright, Texas where she was born October 8, 1936, as the second youngest child to her parents Willie and Lizzie Smith Thomas. 

She became a resident of Clarksville, Texas when she married Mr. James David Murphy. Our Lord granted them six children, daughters Brenda and Glenda and four sons, James, Deon, Leon and Mark Murphy. 

Ms. Earline dedicated her entire life to caring and supporting her children, her husband and her extended family as it grew. Earline’s grandchildren really enjoyed her cooking, and they looked forward to her Thanksgiving banana pudding each year. She was an avid fisherman who really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Earline is preceded in death by six of her siblings, her husband James Murphy, Sr. and her children, Deon Murphy, Brenda Evans, Glenda Chalmers and James Murphy.

She is survived by her children Leon Murphy and Mark Murphy,plus eighteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended relatives. 

May the Lord receive her soul and grant her a home in paradise to reunite with her loved ones and allows us to see her again.
