Funeral service for 68 year old  Ms. Chris Lewis of Clarksville. TX who went to be with her Lord January 6, 2024 at Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, TX will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 am in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church St., Clarksville, TX with Rev. Joe Lewis eulogist. Interment will be in Fairground Cemetery, Clarksville, TX under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home. 

Viewing will be Friday, January 12, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Citizens Funeral Home chapel. 

Masks are recommended.

Yes that is me.
I was born October 24th, 1955 in Clarksville, Texas
to a loving couple by the name of Gavin and Ruth Lewis.
My journey to this temporary Earthly home lingered 68
years, and on January 6th, 2024, I returned to my Maker
and now I rest in His loving care.
During my time on earth, I found joy in going to
church, entertainment in playing bingo, and excitement in
going shopping, especially while my mother, Ruth, was with
me. Because, I was her ride or die road companion. I loved
children and found enjoyment in loving on and raising all
of my nieces and nephews at some point in their lives.
A couple of my favorite hobbies were getting my hair
done and writing in my journal everyday.
My journey on Earth is over now and I have gone
from labor to reward. Life can no longer worry me and
cancer can no longer hurt me. I’m in the care of a faithful
and just God!
My lineage and tribe that remain:
Siblings: Gavin Lewis, Jr., Andy Lewis,
Billy (Shirley) Lewis, Pamela (Terry) Welch
Special Cousin/Sister: Shelia Nelson
Widowed in-laws: Hardy Watson,
Reva Lewis, and Sharon Lewis
A host of aunts, nieces, nephews,
friends and extended family.
Those who preceded me in death were my parents, Gavin
and Ruth Lewis; Siblings, Bab, Annie Ruth Lewis-Watson,
Terry Lewis, Ricky Lewis Sr, and Joe Lewis Sr..
