Brian Allen Dickerson

Funeral services for Mr. Brian Allen Dickerson are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Zion Traveler Baptist Church 501 S. Walnut St., Clarksville, TX .with Pastor Philip A. Porchia officiating.  Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery, Clarksville, TX.    

Under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX. 

Public Viewing is scheduled for Monday, February 13, 2023 from 5-6 pm at Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX.

Brian Allen Dickerson was born June 19, 1968 to William A. Dickerson and Ina Rae Thompson Dickerson.  Brian died February 8, 2023 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX.  He united with the Zion Traveler Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. Carson Adams.  Brian graduated from Clarksville High School in 1986, continuing his education and graduating from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.  With a passion for math, he was employed by the Duncanville Independent School District, Duncanville, Texas where he taught numerous subjects in math until his demise; Brian at one point earned the TEACHER OF THE YEAR award and continued to teach until his demise.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.  Survivors include his father of the home, aunts Mrs. Nina A Forte, Houston, TX, Mrs. Nedra (Lee) Baty, Red Oak, TX, numerous cousins, including Special Cousin-Mrs. Mittie Jewel Dunn, Waxahachie, TX and Special Friend-Ms. Angela Wright of Grand Prairie, TX, other family members and friends.
