Citizens Funeral Home has served the Clarksville Area since the 1950’s. The business is owned and operated by Clarksville residents James and Tina Wooten. Citizens Funeral Home is licensed to practice by the State of Texas and has been a vital part of the Clarksville community since the business was started. The business received the 2011 PIONEER AWARD Presented by Historic Red River County Chamber of Commerce. March 2011, Citizens Funeral Home moved to its present location at 500 East Church Street right off Main Street in Clarksville.

James Wooten is a licensed Mortician and holds a dual license as a certified Funeral Director and Embalmer by the State of Texas. He graduated as a Mortician from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, and Tina Wooten is a licensed Funeral Director. She also graduated from what is now named the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
